Apex Legends Season 16 Launch Date Confirmed, Arenas are leaving and Mixtape, a brand new mode, is on its way

The next season of Apex Legends will be here soon! Titled Apex Legends: Revelry, Season 16 launches on Tuesday, February 14 and adds Team Deathmatch, a new weapon, and a revamped class system.

The Battle Royale maps for Revelry are Broken Moon, Storm Point, and World’s Edge. Sadly, there’s no sign of Kings Canyon jumping its head into this mode any time soon.

However, with the new content comes the sacrifice and the 3 vs 3 Arenas mode will leave the game at the start of the new season. There’s still a little time to get into some quick battles before the launch date next week, so Arenas fans still have time to bid farewell.

Arenas’ loss is softened by the introduction of an all-new mode to take its place. The new Mixtape mode will alternate between various community-favorite game modes, giving you a chance to dip your toes in whenever you feel like it.

So far we know that Gun Run, Control, and Team Deathmatch will all be in rotation on Mixtape throughout Season 16. However, this mode won’t be available until three weeks into the season due to Team Deathmatch . .

That’s right, Team Deathmatch is also coming to Apex Legends! This mode pits two teams of six legends against each other and the first team to reach 30 eliminations will win this round. A team must win three rounds to win.

When it launches on February 14, Team Deathmatch will be its own limited-time mode for three weeks before heading to the Mixtape playlist. Party Crasher, Skulltown, and Habitat 8 maps will be available at launch for TDM.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s a new weapon to get your hands on in Revelry and it’s powerful. The Nemesis Burst AR is a four round burst assault rifle with an automatic trigger. It’s available at launch and comes with a full range of accessories.

The longer you hold the trigger, the more the weapon will charge, increasing the speed of your bursts. Assault rifle fans can also be happy to know that the charge you’ve built up on the Nemesis won’t go away if you decide to move and position yourself elsewhere, meaning you’ll have a powerful weapon at your fingertips. hand when you need it.

Speaking of weapons, the Hemlok Burst AR is moved to loot, removing it from floor loot for the season. The Volt SMG and Longbow DMR will now also be in crafting.

Golden Shotgun Bolts are another new item to look forward to next season, and as someone who loves using a shotgun in battle royale, that’s exciting. The new bolt, if you are lucky enough to find it, will allow you to fire shells as you drag them and it will automatically load them into the shotgun. Plus, you’ll never really need to charge one again, as swiping, skipping slides, and general traversing will also charge your weapon!

Next, new players entering Apex for the first time will need to complete orientation matches before they can enter the real world. Matches are filled mostly with bots and are designed to get new players accustomed to the mechanics of the game without the pressure of being competitive. Kings Canyon is the setting for that, and players will need to place first, or top five teams, or get enough reps to be allowed into the real thing.

The shooting range has also received some improvements, the main one being that you can now control the dummies around the shooting range. You can decide whether they are crouched, how fast they move, and their shield levels. There’s unlimited ammo in range and there are new hit indicators to show you the spray pattern of your chosen weapon.

Lastly, it’s Apex Legends’ fourth anniversary, so keep an eye out for decorations adorning your surroundings, but that’s not the part we’re excited to tell you about. The Party Boat is back!

How did Mirage get it back? We don’t know either, but it’s been returning as a limited-time POI throughout the season in all battle royale maps. Onboard there’s an interactive loot party, a new dance floor, and if you look up at the mast you might see a Mermirage.

Of course, our beloved Legends haven’t been left behind with the many improvements in Season 16. While there’s no new Legend for Revelry, the class system is getting a major overhaul and it’s very different from previous seasons.

There are five new classes: Assault, Skirmisher, Controller, Recon, and Support. Each legend has been reclassified into the new classes, and the classes themselves all have unique perks.

There’s a lot to figure out, but Apex Legends: Revelry is already shaping up to be a great season.
