Here’s a list of one of my favorite genres – I’ve also rated and shown framerate and gyro support as that’s a big part of the experience for me! This is the first part of a trio – the other two parts will come after Christmas, one focusing on first-person RPGs and the other on competitive and cooperative first-person shooters! 1. Hey SwitchUP Family this is a BIG old list – this one focuses on the classic style FPS games and then we will have others focusing on the sub genres. Mark

  2. To be honest I don’t like nether of this games. To old school. Poor resolution. I want a handheld device to play call of duty but this doesn’t support. What a bummer. Need to step up nintendo.

  3. Who actually uses or cares about gyroscopic controls for shooters? Like I’ve never seen anyone use it ever. It’s awful feeling. Much better just using the normals controls so rather a game has it or doesn’t I’d say 99% of people don’t care. Definitely doesn’t effect my opinion of any games. Also how in the fuck does Borderlands not make the list? Mind blowing not to mention Apex Legends/Overwatch either. But the Borderlands Collection specifically is soo much better than almost all the games here outside maybe the Bioshock and Metro series being equally good. Too many old style copy cat Doom clones listed imo.

  4. Recently started looking into the switch after MW2 came out and seeing that Microsoft/Sony IMO are putting out trash after watching your channel and looking into the nintendo community they seem to be doing far better by their gamers although not perfect far better than xbox/ps

  5. I have to admit, I'm more than a little disappointed that we haven't seen Half Life come to the Switch yet. I fear it rather unlikely at this point, as it would have at least been announced by now, this far into the Switch's lifespan. I anticipated a port that included both expansions: Opposing Force and Blue Shift. Half Life 2 would be sick too, but I'm not sure they would be able to get it running smoothly enough, unfortunately.

I know, I know, we have the Steam Deck now for all of that. Well, you're right, and I really need to get it together and order one ASAP since I'm sure I will be waiting for months to receive it from the time I make the purchase order.

(EDIT: Warning, pointless and irrelevant rambling starts here)
The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that I was torn between getting a PS5, a Series X, or the Steam Deck. With the slow trickle of any actual killer titles on PS5, I have now pretty much ruled it out and if I'm being honest with myself, I prefer the freedom of not being tethered to the television or a monitor that the Switch has brought me, so I think that given those considerations, the Steam Deck is the best choice for me.

I'm so glad I typed out my stream of consciousness evaluation of my future console options, but I feel sorry for anyone who read all of this!

  6. im looking to buy a multiplayer shooter for my new switch , something online and competitive, i heard splatoon 3 is kinda the "call of duty" premier shooter on switch, any suggestions?

  7. I love these games, it gives off so much nostalgic feelings and I'm all here for it. They are all great games and I'd recommend everyone to try them out. Great video again, guys!
