We live at an interesting time where analog and digital board gaming are mixing and melding, and so we thought we should put together a list of the top 5 digital board games of 2021 for your reference. These are the best digital editions ported over from paper and cardboard that we could find this year. Did we miss any? Please post in the comments!

Is gloomhaven available on the iphone
Civilizarion: Trought the Ages and Twilight Struggle are the best digital implementation 😉
I agree with Gloomhaven being highly ranked, but for me Root and especially Wingspan would be in my top 3 with it. Thanks for the video, digital board and card games are excellent on tablets.
Two more great ones from 2021: Dominion and Railroad Ink
Did you try Castle Itter and Pavlov's House? If so, what do you think? Would you recommend them?
Thanks for the list ???? I've looked at my list and Root easily won (100+ hours) but I'd also recommend Twilight Struggle and Witcher Advemture Game.
One implementation I was really disappointed by was Fury of Dracula – nice gameplay, but no ability to save/rejoin a multiplayer game was a deal breaker
Thanks for the video and the list. I started to really enjoy digital implementations of the games I don't know well this year – they ease in the entry point and allow to "learn on the go" whilst still allowing for the cleanliness of the board game rules.
No root!?
I have all of those except Gloomhaven, which I have no interest in. For me, it's too reminiscient of a video game & I prefer actual board games to video games. I would have to say Wingspan would be in my top 5 digitial adaptations & The Castles of Burgundy is one I've played a bunch & enjoy. Potentially Terraforming Mars is very good but they keep breaking it whenever they do an update, it turns out Asmodee Digital is pretty bad, support wise. I also enjoy the digital adaptation of Carcassonne. Brass Birmingham is one I recently purchased but haven't had a chance to play yet. Nice to hear that's it's good & I didn't waste my money 🙂
Thank you for all the hard work and content this year! Now I am of to play Brass
GREAT list. I wish more people would put out lists of digital games. Ever since the news forum in BGG stopped reviewing digital games, I’ve been looking for a source of info.
I know Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition didn’t come out on 2021 but I’m contractually obligated to mention it 😛
Thanks for content
Brass Birmingham <3
Wingspan and Root are two that are very good. Wingspan is a relaxing and challenging digital game, with AI and Automa to play solitaire against. Root is well done, and may be the best way to learn the game. Roll For the Galaxy and Terraforming Mars are also available, but I don't enjoy them as much as Wingspan & Root.
Nice list ???? I still didn't try out the fox in the forest… I'll do that soon… Happy new year and much success with your channel in 2022! Please continue mixing physical and digital boardgame reviews and discussions ????
