Sonic Colors: Ultimate gamers have taken to social media to report a slew of bugs, graphics glitches, and crashes, especially with the Nintendo Switch version.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate Early Access went live yesterday for those who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition – and now Twitter is full of clips from the game going horribly wrong.
The videos show various issues that make the graphics do strange and wonderful things. Here is an exerpt :

Sonic Colors Ultimate is described as an enhanced remaster of the original Wii 2010. It is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and PC through the Epic Games Store.
The Nintendo Switch version in particular has been criticized for its performance, load times, and bugs, although players of all versions have reported issues. Audio mixing has also been heavily criticized across all platforms.
Sega brought in US port specialist Blind Squirrel Games, who worked on the excellent remasters of the Mass Effect trilogy, for the update to Sonic Colors.
Problems and bugs aren’t the only problem with Sonic Colors Ultimate. The port uses the free and open source Godot Engine with no credit.
In a tweet, Blind Squirrel apologized, promising to add credit in a patch.
“We are very sorry for this oversight and we are committed to properly crediting all of the technology we use,” said Blind Squirrel.
“Despite credits reviewed repeatedly, this was missed in one way or another. An upcoming patch will be released shortly to correct this issue.”

Sega has yet to resolve the graphics issues with the game.
