Activision has confirmed new points of interest coming to the Call of Duty: Warzone map this week as part of the Reloaded Season 3 update and ’80s action movie heroes event. .
Starting May 20, Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza will appear downtown for a limited time. It is the tallest single structure seen in Warzone, and features five floors of space that Die Hard fans will find familiar.
Nakatomi Plaza replaces the broadcast tower and surrounding blocks in the downtown southern district. It’s home to several optional missions, including exploring the tower for supply boxes, defusing C4 on the roof, and even interrupting a weapons deal. There is also an objective to break the Nakatomi Plaza Vault and escape with its riches. Expect, however, that many players will search for the keys to the vault.
Another new point of interest is the survival camps. Around Verdansk, the campsites have been converted into survival camps in homage to Rambo: First Blood Part 2. There are 10 camps on the map. You can find cargo items or the ID tags of soldiers who fell before you, Activision said. Collect enough for a big reward.
The third and final new point of interest is the CIA outpost. One of the aircraft hangars in the northwestern sector of Verdansk has been converted into a makeshift CIA outpost (it is believed to be a base for agents tracking Rambo).
Here is the official text of the CIA outpost:
“Apparently these field agents are also looking for any identification of fallen soldiers and could provide air reinforcements if enough of them were collected for extraction. Perhaps this can be used to set up an ambush that only a true guerrilla expert could handle. .. “
This all ties into the release this week of Rambo and John McClane as premium DLC Operators, of course.
Rambo is available through the Rambo Bundle in the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone store from 5 a.m. UK time on May 20 to 5 a.m. UK time on June 19. This set includes Operator Rambo, two finishing shots, one of which uses his iconic bow and arrow; three blueprints of legendary weapons – an assault rifle, an LMG and a knife blueprint; a legendary business card and emblem; and an epic watch and charm.
John McClane is available through the Die Hard bundle during the same timeframe. This set includes Operator John McClane, a Finisher, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints – a Tactical Rifle, two SMGs and an Assault Rifle – a Legendary Business Card and Emblem, an Epic Watch and a Charm epic weapon.
Activision was keen to say that Rambo and John McClane are brand new Call of Duty operators, not skins for previously released operators. Activision has yet to say how much it will cost.
There is a new limited-time mode for Warzone to go along with all of this. It’s called Power Grab and sees over 100 players of varying team sizes in the battle royale with a smaller starting circle collapse than the traditional battle royale. This circle collapse has five stages and there is no gulag to escape death.
Instead, you have to either revive your teammates through the Purchase Station or earn the right to revive them by collecting ID tags. Similar to Kill confirmed in traditional multiplayer, each operator will drop an ID tag each time they are eliminated. These ID tags can also be found as rewards for fulfilling contracts, and in rare cases they can be found in supply boxes around Verdansk.
Each ID tag collected brings you a step up on a reward scale, visible on the right side of your HUD. This reward scale includes a UAV; a respawn token, which gives you the right to re-infiltrate Verdansk; and advanced gas masks and specialist bonuses, at higher levels. The end of the game is the same, however: be the last team to win.
There’s also the new combat arc killstreak in Warzone. The longer you shoot the bow, the farther the explosive point arrow will go.
Elsewhere, Warzone obtains the Black Ops Cold War Ballistic Knife.
Looking further ahead, Activision said that the new baseball bat melee weapon hits Warzone at the launch of season four after its “spring training” in Black Ops Cold War during the week of the Reloaded season three launch.
The AMP63 pistol also arrives at some point during the remainder of season three. This is a cross between a self-loading pistol and a fully automatic SMG.
The Season 3 update Reloaded will have a download size of approximately 7.1 – 13.1 GB for those who own the full version of Black Ops Cold War, and 14.6 – 18.1 GB for those who own the full version of Black Ops Cold War. who own the free Warzone and are up to date on the latest updates on one or both games.
